Based in Atherstone, Warwickshire the company has set about forging a formidable reputation amongst the trade for supplying the highest quality products. In today's competitive market, every brand and manufacturer seem to make a claim for the quality of their product, yet we constantly hear headlines of how companies are trying to cut costs to cheapen the manufacturing process. Cheaper manufacturing costs may lead to cheaply made products; a concept Tow-Trust have challenged through heavy investment in our production process. The whole Tow-Trust operation, from initial computer aided design right through to our high-grade packaging, exhibits a particular attention to detail.
You may be forgiven for now expecting that this makes our products expensive, however our dedicated sales team constantly monitor our prices to ensure we are competitively priced against all alternative manufacturers. Although our products may not be the cheapest on the market, we firmly believe they offer true 'value for money'. We think anyone would agree that you cannot be the cheapest and the best at the same time, and for that very reason we have decided to be the best. The History of Tow-Trust
Following over 30 years’ experience in the towing industry, Tow-Trust Towbars Ltd was founded by Joint Directors Ian & Elaine Miller in 1991. The company was formed with an ambition that has grown and grown ever since; 'to provide the highest quality products'. Located in a small workshop in Atherstone, Warwickshire, the company set about manufacturing and fitting towbars on a small scale for the local Midland's area. As the product range and reputation of this new manufacturing firm grew, the 1990s quickly saw Tow-Trust establish themselves as a nationwide supplier of Towbars and towing products, eventually becoming the UK’s largest manufacturer and market leader.
The aim of the company from day one was simple, 'to supply quality products at competitive prices' and this philosophy remains very much at the heart of Tow-Trust today. Quickly outgrowing their original manufacturing site, Tow-Trust moved in 1995 to larger premises on the Carlyon Road Industrial Estate in Atherstone to house new hi-tech machinery that further improved production quality and efficiency.
Through the years Ian and Elaine have been joined by their two sons, Tom in 2003 and Alan in 2006, who along with Tow-Trust's large, specialised workforce have also bought into the values of the family business: absolute quality. With years of industry knowledge, the company is now headed by Tom Miller as CEO and Alan Miller as Sales Director.
Despite the structure of the company growing vastly, it has tried to maintain the 'personal approach' that is often associated with a family business. Still located at the same site on Carlyon Road in Atherstone, the production premises has continued to expand further, enabling higher volumes of stock, improved production capabilities and the latest in hi tech manufacturing equipment to be held. This has enabled Tow-Trust to consistently meet the increased demand of its national network of committed customers.
There is one simple thing that makes Tow-Trust especially proud 'there are many customers who we supplied at the beginning, who we still supply today. I believe that pays a huge compliment to not only the products but to the first-class personal service we offer here at Tow-Trust' comments Managing Director Ian Miller who adds 'word of mouth is probably the best form of advertisement there is, and through our network of happy customers nationwide, we are now constantly approached by other professional fitting centres for supply of our products'.
